Tuesday night my wife noticed water had soaked the wooden base under our water heater in the garage. We could see water trails going down the side of the tank but it didn't seem like water was actively flowing. Having experiencing a flood from our last water heater 18 years ago, I figured it would not be a good idea to wait, and started calling around the next morning. One person I spoke to with very good Yelp reviews told me how old the water heater was (from the serial number) and that I was right not to wait to replace it. He wouldn't be able to get to me for a couple of days, though. He also told me to expect to pay $1300-$1500 to have it done (!). I saw Best Quality's listing in Yelp along with a few others, including the company I'd used last time. I phoned two others and hit the "Get Quote" button for Best Quality. Sergio got back to me within about 15 minutes, and after asking me a few questions via the Yelp messaging system, quoted me $1050 to replace the heater with another 40 gallon tank but a Bradford instead of the Rheem I had - I'd read somewhere that Bradford was considered to be better. He offered to come over at noon, a little more than 90 minutes from then. No one else seemed willing to quote me on the phone. Sergio and his assistant came over as promised, with the new water heater, and also immediately spotted a leak from the release valve on our water regulator out front. We'd had issues with water pressure before (as most of my neighbors also had - his gauge showed 150psi vs the 50-60 it should have been) and in fact this regulator was the 3rd one in the 32 years I've lived in the house. He quoted me another $350 to replace it, which was also very reasonable, and in about two hours every thing was done and working perfectly. I recommend you call Sergio for your issues. Dealing with him was a pleasure. I'l definitely be calling him again for my plumbing needs.Read review on Yelp
RESIDENTIAL PLUMBING / PRESSURE DIAGNOSIS
Low Whole-House Water Pressure
LOW FLOW THROUGHOUT THE HOME?
When several taps weaken at once, the cause may be a supply interruption, valve, pressure regulator, leak, or restriction shared by the home. We compare fixtures and conditions before recommending equipment or pipe work.

UNDERSTAND THE ISSUE
Low Whole-House Water Pressure: When To Call A Plumber
Begin by noticing whether hot and cold water are both affected, whether neighbors report a similar issue, and whether the change is constant or occurs when several fixtures run. A utility interruption differs from a private plumbing problem. A sudden low-pressure symptom also does not prove that all pipes are failing; the supply route, main shutoff, pressure regulator where present, and evidence of leakage should be considered.
Residential Plumbing Customer Reviews
My tankless water heater was discharging water randomly. I had no idea what the issue was. But Sergio came by ASAP and helped diagnosed what could be the issue. It was determined that my water pressure regulator was broken and the water pressure was 140 psi. He replaced it with a new one the same day within an hour, and lowered the pressure to 50 psi, and no more water is discharging from my water heater anymore.Read review on Google
My water heater stopped working and what did i do, i let my fingers do the walking on Google & did I get lucky. I called Best Quality Plumbing & Sergio answered on the first ring, told him the problem, he gave me a very reasonable price to come out and take a look and I was right, I needed a new water heater and he not only went to Home Depot to pick one up (it was Saturday & wholesale plumbing stores were closed) and within two hours, my tenant was happily singing in the hot shower. I have added Sergio to my contacts and he is now on my go to list.Read review on Yelp
WHAT WE'LL CHECK
Your Low Whole-House Water Pressure Options
We gather observations from multiple fixtures and ask about recent work, visible leaks, and utility notices. Accessible valves and pressure-control components can be reviewed as appropriate. If a public supply interruption is plausible, the water provider may have relevant information. The assessment identifies what can be confirmed at the property and what needs coordination or additional testing.
Repair A Confirmed Control Or Leak Issue
If a valve, regulator, or defined plumbing leak explains the change, the repair can be scoped around that finding.
Investigate The Supply Path
When no local failure is visible or symptoms remain broad, further pressure testing or supply-side evaluation may be needed before selecting equipment.

GOOD TO KNOW
Low Whole-House Water Pressure
Questions Answered.
Have a question about your plumbing? These answers cover what we’re often asked.
What causes low water pressure in the whole house suddenly?
Possible causes include utility work, a partly closed main valve, a regulator issue, a leak, or another shared restriction. The timing and hot/cold pattern help guide the check.
Should I replace all the pipes if pressure is low everywhere?
A pressure symptom alone is not enough evidence for whole-house pipe replacement. The supply, controls, leaks, and pipe condition need evidence-based assessment first.
Could my water provider be responsible?
Yes, a public supply event may affect more than one home. If neighbors also have a change or the timing aligns with utility work, contact the provider while the property-side plumbing is assessed.
Can pressure drop only when multiple fixtures run?
It can. Demand may expose a restriction, capacity issue, or control problem that is less obvious at one tap. Describe the combination of fixtures and the timing.
